The New Trusts Act 2019 - A beginner's guide to find out what Mum and Dad own
Apr 14, 2020
The Trusts Act 2019 represents the most extensive and wide ranging change to trust law in New Zealand in the last 50 years and it will come in to effect in January 2021. All Trustees are required to engage in an extensive disclosure regime to beneficiaries and are subject to significant obligations. Many members of Downtown Rotary Club are likely to have been Settlors, Beneficiaries or Trustees of at least one or more trusts and this presentation is intended to be a practical guide to this important piece of legislation. |

History Evening 21st April 2020 on Zoom In June 1944 Allied forces launched the biggest invasion fleet in history. The outcome of the subsequent battle changed the entire course of the war against the Nazis and shaped the world we live in today. The lead up to the invasion was filled with secrecy, subterfuge and deception. The logistics of getting millions of men and their supplies onto a heavily defended beach were truly amazing. The battle itself involved heroism and sacrifice across many nations. Given its impact on world affairs the 75th anniversary of “D Day” was marked by heads of state from around the world last year. Simon Walton was there, at Normandy, to witness events and will be giving a presentation on the battle and his trip on the 21st April. It’s a sequel, if you will, to the very successful history evening we held last year and again is a fundraiser for KiwiHarvest. Registration is $50 per person and 100% of this will be passed on to KiwiHarvest as a donation. So, the 21st April is a great opportunity for some on line socialising as well as education - gaining a better insight into the events of June 1944 and the commemorations 75 years later. You are encouraged to invite friends and family .. the more the better ! We look forward to seeing you on Zoom ……… Kind regards Gill and Simon PS The Zoom login details will be sent out to everyone that registers |

We resurfaced the concrete and reroofed the laundry place, bought decoration materials for the bathroom, and also organised a Christmas Party for the kids. Remaining Relevant
Sep 22, 2020
Diana and Terry started the Remuera Real Estate Register in 2011 and their share of Remuera sales has grown threefold. Prior to entering real estate and establishing the Remuera Real Estate Register, Diana owned a hospitality equipment supply business and had additional background in property law, financing and corporate headhunting. Terry’s original career was advertising, and he built Mackay King to be the country’s biggest and most awarded agency of its time before selling it to Saatchi & Saatchi. The other key interest in their lives has been houses. They have rebuilt and redecorated some beautiful homes, and are just now starting another project for themselves; a property that they had sold through the Register was then re-listed with the Register, and the second time they just “had to buy it” … |
