After 10 years of scaling up, solar power is now the lowest cost form of energy.  It is the perfect compliment to hydro-based systems and the path to the global shift to renewable energy.

Lodestone Energy is building ‘one large power plant’ over five locations on the North Island, to kickstart NZ’s shift to 100% renewable energy.  Lodestone believes solar will be a critical part of bringing low cost energy to electrification of industry and transportation.

Mr. Holden has been developing power and utility companies for over 30 years (including NZ's first two independent power stations in the 1990s).  He is the former CEO of TransAlta NZ and, more recently, Pulse Energy.  He has led the development of coal, gas, wind, hydro and solar in Canada, Australia, NZ and the US and has been a key participant in deregulation and market design.
