President Gill's First Meeting

The 4th July was Gill Johnston's first meeting as President of the Rotary Club of Downtown Auckland. It was a special meeting for a couple of reasons......

Wayne Dyer was welcomed to the Board for his Rotary Foundation Role.

We heard great news that Hillary Prior had received a Paul Harris Fellowship pin at RYLA on the weekend.

Byran was award a special Rotary District award for his services to the Pop Up Playground Event.

We also heard some entertaining stories from Ian Hastings about his time in VICE in the 1980s.

Avocado Picking

Greg Moyle's chickens are laying again. He is also selling valuable avocados at our Breakfast meetings to raise funds for the raised gardens in school project. Please let Greg know if you are able to help him pick some avocados on the farm on 15th July. His number is: 021 444 339

Tree Planting

We have a tree planting day coming up on on Motuihe Island. Join the environmental committee on the 10th September. Bring the family and enjoy a BBQ at the end of the day.

RMHC Yoga Fundraiser

Our very own Rachael Steller is hosting a yoga class fundraiser for RMHC. The class is this Saturday at the Ponsonby Community Centre (20 Ponsonby Terrace). It costs $10 on the door or you can book by contacting rachael.steller@gmail.com. Bring your own mat.

Your New Board

Our first board meeting is this Monday 10th July at KPMG. Parking is available. Committee Leads, please submit your board reports by this Friday.

Auckland Club Visit

On Monday 10th July at 12:15pm the Auckland Club will be welcoming speaker David Seymour from the ACT party. Nikki Kaye will follow on 17th July. To register to attend these meetings please contact ngaio@quadrant.co.nz
