This morning we had a fantastic speech from Dr Sally Merry and visiting Rotary scholars, Prof Maree Teesson and AP Frances. We learnt about their educational programme developed to combat issues with adolescent mental health and substance abuse. It was interesting to know how the landscape has changed for the young people of today compared to when some of our members were growing up.

A great Community committee initiative - support the Women's Refuge by bringing in new toiletries to include in care pack we are making up - soaps, toothbrushes and brushes are all appreciated. Diane Davidson is collecting donations at each meeting.
The time has come again for our Christmas Pud sales. No extra kilos to worry about - you can purchase a pudding and the City Mission will distribute it to a family in need. A donation form will be passed around each meeting and get in touch with Bill Daniels for more info.
