Disruptive Thinking in the Community Sector

My name is Ronji Tanielu. I am Samoan/Tokelauan, and was raised in the capital of the Universe - Mangere, South Auckland. I work as a lawyer and advisor for the Social Policy and Parliamentary Unit of The Salvation Army. In my work, I focus a lot on consumer protection, youth development, crime and punishment issues, social hazards (addictions) and other policy/law areas. My team advocates for policy and law changes from a Biblical/Christian worldview to government, policy officials and other key influencers. Our focus at The Army is the most vulnerable and marginalised of society. My wife and I have spent the last 2 years serving as self-funded Christian workers in 33 different countries, working primarily with persecuted and suffering Christians in countries like Nigeria, Indonesia and Malaysia, developing small businesses and social enterprises to support local mission work in these countries, and smuggling Bibles into different restricted nations.
