ELAHA YOUSUFI

CO-FOUNDER • COMMUNITY ADVOCATE 

Elaha is an Afghan-New Zealand community advocate, business professional and Co-Founder of Noor Women for Afghanistan Charitable Trust. She brings together experience in business, workplace operations, refugee-sector support, fundraising and community leadership, with a strong commitment to education and economic opportunities for Afghan women and girls.

Elaha is the Co-Founder of the Noor Women for Afghanistan Charitable Trust | 2024–Present

She co-founded a New Zealand-registered charitable trust supporting Afghan women and girls through underground education, economic empowerment initiatives and community engagement. Elaha helps lead fundraising, partnerships, advocacy and awareness-building in New Zealand.

Member – Rotalite- Satellite Club of Henderson Rotary Club. She is active in Rotary and multicultural community engagement, including fundraising initiatives and speaking about education, Afghan women and girls, and community action.

Worked closely with USAID-supporting women’s empowerment initiatives in Afghanistan, Elaha provided training and employment opportunities for women.

She has been the Facilities & Workplace Coordinator for the Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment (MBIE) | from 2022 the present.  She works across MBIE workplace environments in Auckland CBD and the Mangere Refugee Resettlement Centre, coordinating facilities and property operations, contractors and suppliers, health and safety, security and access, workplace projects, events and operational support.

Elaha has previous experience owning and managing businesses across technology, IT, logistics, procurement, distribution and retail, including supplier relationships, imports, team management and delivery for government and organizational clients.

She has created opportunities for fresh graduates through practical training, certificates and employment references.
