“I have been a member of the NZ Fire service now Fire and Emergency NZ since 2004. I am a Station Officer in Kumeu where I live with my husband and four fur babies. In addition to volunteering with the Kumeu Brigade I am also the Senior Fire Risk Management Officer for the Auckland City Area. This role consists of community education, building fire safety compliance and fire investigations. I am also the chairperson of our regions Women’s Advisory Network and have an interest in creating a more diverse and inclusive organisation.

Although the fire service has been a large part of my life it hasn’t always been my career, prior to this role I was a vet nurse in a mixed large and small animal clinic.”

Chloe Marshall - Bio

“I grew up in Ohope Beach in the Bay of Plenty and moved to Auckland for University where I attained a Bachelor of Science. Following University I worked for Napier City Council and then the Bay of Plenty Regional Council where I was involved in the Edgecumbe flood response and recovery. In between these jobs I managed to catch a recurring travel bug which has taken me to many places across the globe. Since working for Fire and Emergency as a Fire Risk Management Officer I have been mainly involved with building compliance and public education and was also deployed to Nelson earlier in the year to assist with the Nelson Fires.”
