Fundraising Results from Breakfast with Craig Heatley

Fantastic Result of our First Fundraiser of the Year: $28,689.60 for Youth Development and Leadership Programs
Many thanks to Craig Heatley, private donors, our members, and supporters of Rotary who helped make this a success!
What a fantastic fundraiser we had with Craig Heatley and Peter Williams! The energy and buzz in the room was electric as 90 people came together to hear how Craig became a successful Kiwi entrepreneur. Craig candidly shared engaging stories through different chapters of his life. Starting from when he made his first cold call at the age of 12 while living in Upper Hutt, to when he did some hardcore negotiations with Kerry Packard, Rupert Murdoch, and 4 major American corporates while at Sky. He even shared some insights as to what it’s like to be a member of the prestigious Augusta National Golf Club. 
 
This was also a wonderful opportunity to showcase our Rotary Youth Development Programs and to raise funds that enable us to positively impact the lives of young people.
 
During the breakfast, Craig Heatley surprised us with an offer of $12,500 to our cause if we are able to generate the other $12,500 from our event. Thanks to everyone’s contribution we have raised $1133.75 from our raffle, $2055.85 from our ticket sales, and the rest from private donations. A special thanks to Ray Stonelake for his $500 donation. Also a big thank you to one of our members who has generously matched Craig's offer of $12,500. This means that we have raised a combined total of $28,689.60.
 
This is fantastic news and exemplifies how great things happen when we all work closely together towards the end goal!!
