At breakfast on Tuesday morning, David Graham provided an update on Christmas Box for 2019. Several members have already expressed interest in this and more are welcome. The key details are reproduced below again for reference.
Christmas Box is a food box that caters to a family of 4-6, helping supplement breakfast, lunch and dinner meals for over a week.
The program started as a grassroots local initiative, delivering Christmas gift-wrapped food boxes to neighbouring families in need. Since starting in 2001, over 100,000 Christmas Boxes have been delivered, supporting over 500,000 New Zealanders.
For every $30 donated, one Christmas Box is provided to a New Zealand family. 100% of the donation goes into providing the Christmas Box.

Leading up to Christmas, there is also a packing day on 7 December 2019, where volunteers get together to pack the boxes. You can register for the packing day at this link: https://christmasbox.co.nz/packing
