In recognition of the great support that our club has provided to Kiwi Harvest, we have been invited to the official opening of their new Auckland premises.
This is a great opportunity for club members to have a look at the impact that our support has in the community, and to mix and mingle with one of our key Charitable Partners.
If you would like to attend, please RSVP to Kiwi Harvest by Friday 14 February at hello@KiwiHarvest.org.nz .
An update to last week's notice about visiting Professor Chris Hollis of the University of Nottingham public lecture at the Medical School the evening of 17 February, as part of our support for Child & Adolescent Mental Health.
We've received from Auckland University an updated poster which now highlights the support from our club and the Ted & Mollie Carr Trust.
In addition, our club has also been invited for pre-drinks and nibbles at 5-6pm, prior to the start of the public lecture. The pre-drinks will be in the Atrium, ground floor of the Medical School - 85 Park Road, Grafton.
As this special invitation to pre-drinks is for sponsors and Medical School staff, it would be great to have as many club members attend as possible.
Following the success of Simon's previous dinner presentation on his war history tour, a sequel has been organised, planned for the evening of 24 March at the Rydges Hotel - covering Simon's most recent war history travels.
Simon will be highlighting the key insights from his most recent trip visiting more historical war locations, and highlighting how those historical events have shaped the world today.
We are planning a convivial dinner, which covers entrees, main and dessert plus a glass of wine, all for $65. The format is similar to last year's evening, with a change to the room used at the Rydges - we will now be in a private conference room to enhance the acoustics.
In addition, we would like to request a donation to Kiwi Harvest of attendees - note that the attendance fee only covers the cost at the Rydges, so this is key to fundraising for this worthy cause.
This invitation extends to friends and family as well as members, so please feel free to invite anyone else who has an interest.
So that we can confirm the event with the Rydges, we need to confirm our minimum number of attendees as soon as possible.
Accordingly, if you'd like to attend please contact Keith Robinson on kgtrob@gmail.com as soon as possible.
