All

What an exciting week in Rotary - let's get straight to the recap.
Stories
Parafed @ Breakfast
We were excited to hear from the team at Parafed, NZ's oldest and largest disability sport organisation, including CEO Tom Smith, Development Manager Yann Roux and athlete Neelam O'Neill.

It was great hearing about the work the Parafed team does providing opportunities for athletes with disabilities, and also hearing directly from Neelam on her journey as an athlete and how Parafed has contributed to her success. Great insights team and many thanks for taking the time to join us.

Video Call with Hannah
At breakfast on Tuesday we had the great pleasure of video calling our recent Youth Exchange student, Hannah Schwartzmann.

Hannah shared with us what she's been up to since returning home and how her Rotary exchange experience has impacted her. It was an awesome opportunity for us to catch-up with a great friend of the club. Many thanks Hannah for calling in.

Sunshine Fund
On Tuesday morning, Suzanne O'Leary provided an update on how the Sunshine Fund has been supporting local students.

Coming up, the students will be attending a regatta in Australia and members are encouraged to bring any small Australian currency to the club which we can put together as spending money for them while on this trip.

Sir Ed and Gibbs Farm
Our friends at the Hillary House Leadership Centre have invited us to join them for a day at Gibbs Sculpture Farm to support their ongoing work.

This will be on Friday 22 November, with tickets at $85. Below is an extract of the details:

This is an opportunity to visit the amazing works by key artists while supporting the Hillary House Leadership Centre - the house that Ed built. Moved to Otara and opened as a place of heritage and leadership in 2011, Hillary House is a national treasure. It is fundraising for growth of our Student Leader and Seniors Visiting Programme. Set overlooking the magnificent Kaipara Harbour there are few sculptures of this size and calibre in the Southern Hemisphere. Sculptures include works by Chris Booth, Neil Dawson, Andy Goldsworthy, Anish Kapoor and Ralph Hotere.

Registration is at the following link:
